Loop hero is an extremely popular PC game, but it would also be at home on mobile. The idle RPG is already playable with one hand, so people are asking for a portable Loop Hero mobile port. But will publisher Devolver Digital and developer Four Quarters bring the game to Android and iPhone? Here is the latest on a smartphone and tablet app for Android and iOS users.
Is an Android version of Loop Hero coming to mobile?
Like many Roguelikes, Loop Hero is devilishly addictive. Many gamers find it difficult to stray away from their PC monitors, although a mobile version would fix that. Launching on Android smart devices would allow users to continue their adventures on the go, only rushing one more (honest) run whenever the opportunity presented itself.
Four Quarters hopes to launch an Android version of Loop Hero in the future. In response to a fan who asked about a potential Loop Hero mobile port, one developer said the team will “try to port the game to a lot of platforms, including mobiles!” At the time of writing, there is still no Loop Hero mobile release date for Android.
The developer’s response (via Steam) originated in January. At that time, Loop Hero had not yet achieved its monumental success. While the response has been somewhat without commitment, it is likely that the team now has the resources to create a mobile version for Android.
Is an iPhone version of Loop Hero coming to mobile?
The developers want to produce an iPhone version of Loop Hero for the Apple App Store. When asked about a potential Loop Hero mobile app, Four Quarters said it will “try to port the game to many platforms”. Of course, this includes iOS devices like the iPhone and the iPad. However, there is currently no release date for Loop Hero iOS per se.
Since “many platforms” are on the developers’ sights, there could be some Loop Hero console versions along the way as well. In addition to the game reaching new platforms, the existing PC version will continue to have support. To celebrate their 500,000 sales, the team recently shared their upcoming content plans.
