Relive the 2018 final
It’s fair to say that Mohamed Salah doesn’t have fond memories of four years ago.
Liverpool and the Egypt international will certainly be there to right those wrongs.

An exclusive interview with David Alaba
“Real Madrid is synonymous with success, but also with love of the game. People are in love with football here.
“And they will do absolutely anything for this club. That devotion permeates the whole club, starting with the security guy. The kit man, the physio, they all have it. It’s extraordinary.
“From the fans to the players, there is a love and a thirst to win. It is also felt every day in training.”

Jurgen Klopp on the pitch in the Champions League final
“Usually when I say the pitch looks new, that’s good news,” Klopp said yesterday.
“This pitch is new since yesterday, which is not the best news. But it will be the same for both teams. I saw the referees with their session and the good news is that the ball falls normally. You can see the lines where they put the pieces of the land [together]what we are not used to.
“That someone thought it was a good idea to bring the pitch the day before to the stadium is an interesting idea. But it didn’t kill my mood by one percent. I’m really glad we’re here, I would have played the game of pétanque.

First news from the team
Liverpool have been boosted by the returns of Fabinho and Thiago. Both players were feared to miss the final due to respective muscle issues, however, the duo returned to full training this week.
The big selection dilemma for Jurgen Klopp, however, is whether Joel Matip or Ibrahima Konate partner Virgil van Dijk in defence.
The only absentee from Liverpool is Divock Origi.
Real are likely to have a full squad available in their 26-man squad, with David Alaba returning to contention after missing his last La Liga game against Real Betis with an adductor problem.
