Liverpool look to bounce back from their disappointing Merseyside derby draw as they host Brighton at Anfield.
After a rocky start to their league campaign, the Reds’ momentum had appeared to pick up with back-to-back wins over Bournemouth and Newcastle, but the clash with Everton left them eighth in the table.
And with constant fan criticism of Liverpool’s form, particularly over the summer signing of Darwin Nunez for his poor results, Jurgen Klopp’s only hope of escaping Brighton on three points is his club’s outstanding record at Anfield.
Liverpool are unbeaten in their last 26 Premier League games at Anfield (W20 D6), keeping 15 clean sheets in this run.
And two prolific players could take the record to 27 games unbeaten.
All three of Roberto Firmino’s Premier League goals this season have come in home games and he has been directly involved in seven goals in his last three league appearances at Anfield (3 goals, 4 assists).
Meanwhile, Mohamed Salah was directly involved in 11 goals in his 10 league games against Brighton, scoring six and assisting five.
Can Liverpool resume their Premier League run with a stunning new club record?
