An out-of-form Liverpool side earned a surprise 1-0 win over Manchester City in a turbulent and entertaining contest at Anfield.
Mohamed Salah fired in the winning goal, sending it past Ederson as Alisson’s long ball on the counterattack went past Joao Cancelo.
City thought they had taken the lead earlier in the second half when Phil Foden fired in from a tight angle, but the goal was disallowed as Erling Haaland was penalized for an earlier foul.
Man City are reported to allege coins were thrown at Pep Guardiola following the decision.
Meanwhile, the latter stages of the match saw Reds boss Jurgen Klopp being sent off by referee Anthony Taylor.
But despite not having their manager on the sidelines for the last few moments, Liverpool managed to hang on to claim victory which puts them back in the top half of the Premier League, while City are at four points from Arsenal at the top of the table.
