Sensex flat with negative bias

ESIC can invest its corpus in equities, MF, bonds
A piece of ₹A 91,000 crore corpus that the Public Employees Insurance Corporation (ESIC) keeps in ultra-safe but low-yielding fixed-rate deposits could find its way into the stock markets and corporate bonds, the government of the ‘Union considering expanding its investment scope.
The move could open up new avenues for investment such as mutual funds, corporate bonds, commercial papers from large private banks and even stocks, two government officials familiar with the plan said on condition of anonymity. .
