Lionel Messi doubts Mauricio Pochettino is the right man to lead Paris Saint-Germain, according to reports in France which claim the superstar fears the Argentine has lost the dressing room.
The French giants fled in the race for the Ligue 1 title as they were 11 points ahead of second-placed Rennes.

However, they were dismantled by Manchester City in the Champions League last month and finished second in their group in Europe despite Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar in their ranks.
According to French media L’Equipe, those closest to Messi believe the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner fears his compatriot Argentina may not have full control of the dressing room and has in turn lost the respect of a number senior players.
The 34-year-old is said to find Pochettino’s game plan “too restrictive” and, as a result, fails to make the most of the scary attacking talent.
Messi has only scored one goal in nine Ligue 1 games this season after his free transfer from Barcelona in the summer.
Having signed Messi, Sergio Ramos, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Georginio Wijnaldum and Achraf Hakimi this summer, Pochettino will be more than aware that a big Champions League challenge is needed.
Nonetheless, things do not appear to be rosy in Paris with reports suggesting that the former Tottenham manager was not happy that sporting director Leonardo has such a big role at the club.
Pochettino was linked with the Manchester United seat when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was sacked last month.
Ralf Rangnick was named interim boss last week, but Pochettino could well be handed the reins over the summer if the German fails to impress in his role.
