Lindsay Lohan entered the world of Netflix’s Christmas movies with “Falling For Christmas,” and like any great holiday movie, it’s got plenty of festive carols. And yes, Lohan actually sings in the film, delivering an impressive rendition of the classic “Jingle Bell Rock.”
Lohan took the responsibility of covering this song — and returning to the screen — very seriously. “It was fun, but I was nervous,” she told Entertainment Tonight in a Nov. 8 interview. “I was [nervous] because I haven’t recorded in a long time and I felt the pressure to do it in a way that people who had seen ‘Mean Girls’ wish it were the same,” she continued, referencing the scene in the 2004 film where she, Rachel McAdamsLacey Chabert, and Amanda Seyfried celebrates singing and dancing to the song at a school talent show.
“I mean, with ‘Mean Girls,’ we had the dance behind and I had all the other girls with me,” Lohan added. “It was just my voice. So, it was annoying. But the result was amazing. I’m really, really happy.”
“Falling For Christmas” premiered on Netflix on November 10. Check out the full tracklist of the movie and listen to some of the songs, including the cover of Lohan’s “Jingle Bell Rock”!
