Linda Lusardi has revealed her children are due for therapy after having a near-fatal battle with Covid.
The former model, 62, said she was left at the ‘door of death’ and admitted to hospital in March last year.
The former Emmerdale actress was put on oxygen and faced the prospect of being intubated as a doctor said they were unable to guarantee her survival.

Her husband Sam Kane was also treated in hospital after contracting Covid and developing pneumonia. Miss Lusardi, who claimed the virus was so severe she ‘wanted to die’, told the Mail their children Lucy, 25, and Jack, 22, had undergone therapy to help them manage the stress.
“It was horrible for everyone,” she said. “ My kids went to therapy (due to) the trauma of losing almost both of us. Then we lost our dog. It’s a year you want to slip into a suitcase and throw over the hill.
She said her husband still had flashbacks of fears of not coming home, but said their children were ‘absolutely brilliant now’. The former model added that it had taken her eight months to recover from the virus and that she was still suffering from fatigue.
Miss Lusardi was speaking ahead of the launch of her YouTube series Beauty Angels, which sees her teaming up with actress Debbie Arnold to discuss new treatments and dispel beauty myths.

She added: ‘I thought about therapy but didn’t do it in the end. I talked about it a lot in interviews and I think it was actually worse for people around me because I didn’t realize how bad I was.
“ I think my husband Sam should have it because he still has flashbacks that I’m not coming home and the fear and trauma he went through thinking I couldn’t make it .
“Lucy and Jack both went through a short period of therapy. They are absolutely awesome now.
The glamorous model-turned-actress suffered hair loss from the virus and took eight months to recover, but is still struggling with fatigue.
She is also worried about having liver damage because she can no longer drink alcohol.

She said: ‘Since Covid I can’t drink. I can’t drink alcohol, so I’m wondering if I have slight liver damage.
“I feel really bad about half an hour after drinking it… And I love my gin and tonic, my prosecco.
“I’ve had gin and tonic every now and then but it’s not worth feeling hard. It’s pretty instantaneous.
“I think ‘oh, my head hurts’. It’s like a hangover. I’m lucky my holiday days are over. I would have been desperate in my twenties. ”
The former Emmerdale actress, who has filler to plump her eyebrows in the first episode, also said she was okay with being in her 60s after struggling to accept that she was getting older when she was 40. years.

Marking the end of a tough 12 months, Linda took to Instagram on New Years Eve to share a sweet family with their two children.

Clearly excited to celebrate, Linda took to Instagram to explain her plans for the night, saying, “ We’re having a little mini party, just foursome, in our living room and can’t wait to see the back of 2020. ”
Linda was hospitalized for 10 days and needed oxygen and was attached to a drip during her terrible ordeal with the coronavirus in 2020.
The Dancing on Ice star suffered from severe chest pain, fever and vomiting and sometimes hoped she wouldn’t wake up.
After her ordeal, Linda revealed how she is dealing with the impact of having had coronavirus and said her hair has started to fall out.
The star also revealed that her husband Sam, who was hospitalized along with her with the virus, suffered from heart palpitations.
