Outspoken Bachelor stars Brittany Hockley and Laura Byrne hit back at crop cancellation, say it prevents people from learning from their mistakes
Brittany Hockley and Laura Byrne aren’t fans of the cancellation culture.
The former Bachelor stars, who host the Life Uncut podcast, shared their thoughts on the ‘cancellation’ of problematic public figures in an interview with The Daily Telegraph on Monday.
“I generally don’t support canceling the crop and I don’t like the idea,” said Brittany, 33.

“People in general make mistakes; it is human nature. I don’t like the idea of everyone jumping on board and piling on top of it, ”she added.
Brittany said social media users shouldn’t rush to “undo” people when they see something they don’t like, and instead should just “stop following”.
She stressed that it was not necessary to “jump on the online bullying band” every time something controversial happened.

Her co-host Laura Byrne, 35, had similar thoughts, saying the cancellation of culture creates issues that could otherwise have been dealt with in a more civilized manner.
“The problem with canceling culture is that there are so many limits to learning,” she said.
“We learn so much from making mistakes, we learn so much from the conversations that arise from mistakes, and I think for everyone this is a great tool to enable us to do better collectively,” she added.

The two women have both appeared in different seasons of The Bachelor dating show.
Brittney starred in Nick Cummins’ 2018 season, while Laura won the 2017 season with Matty Johnson, with whom she shares two daughters.
After several years as a bachelor, Brittney is now dating Australian tennis player Jordan Thompson.
The duo will make their radio debut next year on the KIIS network with the Life Uncut radio show, which airs on Saturdays.
