Gadget mag, and Quelle Hi-Fi? sister brand T3 announced the winners of its 2021 T3 Awards, which recognize the best products in more than 90 categories spanning audiovisual, home and wearable technology.
In audio, Sony led the noise canceling headphone category with its WH-1000XM4 headphones, while Cambridge Audio’s Melomania 1 Plus won the “Best Value Headphones” award.
High-end audio equipment Naim topped the ‘Best Wireless Speakers’ category with the five-star 2nd Generation Mu-so and Bang & Olufsen won the ‘Best Portable Speaker’ for the five-star Beosound A1 v2 which we described as “the finest little speaker we’ve heard in a while” in our review.
Looking for a DAC that will make your system blackmail? The five-star Cambridge Audio DacMagic 200M was named “Best DAC”.
The Amazon Echo Show 10 was T3The pick of the best smart speakers, beating out tough competition from the Apple HomePod Mini and the mighty Audio Pro G10.
The “best TV” and “best 8K TV” went to the Samsung QN900A, while the “best OLED TV” went to the excellent LG G1 (we recently awarded the LG OLED65G1 Evo TV five stars).
Samsung also took over T3‘Tech Innovation Award’ for its 2021 range of Micro LED TVs and Dolby Atmos sound HW-Q800A was named best soundbar.
Amazon has chosen “Retailer of the Year,” and with Amazon Prime Day scheduled for June 21-22, now is a good time to prepare for a deluge of deals.
However, Prime Video is not at the top of the “Best Video Streaming Services” category. This went to Disney Plus, home to the Disney and Star Wars catalog, as well as blockbuster originals such as the The Mandalorian.
The coveted “Gadget of the Year” trophy went to Sony’s PlayStation 5. It may have been a tough year to find the stock PS5, but there’s no doubt this 4K console is capable.
