Lewis Hamilton leaves the extravagant outfits at home as he steps out in a relaxed T-shirt and shorts for a trip to the Los Angeles skincare boutique

Bold fashion statements were replaced with a bit more understated ensemble when Lewis Hamilton ventured out on Tuesday.

The Formula One ace mingled, for once, in a relaxed blue T-shirt and lilac athletic shorts as he left a skincare store in Beverly Hills.

Hamilton, 37, added a pair of neon green running shoes to his casual look, while a black baseball cap completed the outfit.

In accordance with current health and safety guidelines, the athlete ensured that his mouth and nose were hidden under a protective face covering as he walked towards the busy sidewalk.

Hamilton, who has an impressive collection of vintage and contemporary sports cars valued at an estimated £ 13million, was seen climbing behind the wheel of a sleek white convertible before setting off.

Its latest appearance comes after Formula 1 announced an agreement to continue racing in Abu Dhabi until 2030.

“We look forward to the season finale this weekend where more Formula 1 history will be written.”

In November, Hamilton hit back at his critics and said accusing Mercedes of trying to cheat to fight their way to their eighth world title was the “worst claim ever.”

“We all have egos and that’s what controls our emotions, and it’s egos that fight each other,” Hamilton told The Times.

“There’s defense, there’s respect, but I saw someone say something about cheating, and it’s the worst claim ever.”

He added: “I called James Allison and Mike Elliott and said, ‘I really want to know these things,’ and they explained to me in detail where we are at.

“We’ve done all of these tests and that’s where it is, but I don’t like when people put that [cheating accusations] the low.’
