Lena’s dance clip comes after CeeLo Green criticized the song as he questioned the musical content of Megan, Cardi and fellow rapper Nicki Minaj.
He told Far Out magazine he wondered if the trio of female rappers should be seen as role models due to the “ shameless ” content of their music.
The 45-year-old Atlanta native said: “ A lot of music today is very unhappy and disappointing on a personal and moral level.
“There was a time when we were smart enough to code certain things. We could express to those to whom it was intended with the style of language we used. But now the music is shameless, it’s pure savagery.
The hitmaker F *** You didn’t hold back as he continued to criticize them for their sexual expression going so far as to call them desperate.

CeeLo explained: “It’s problematic, we suffer from it because there are some who have nothing to do with it, but it is assumed by everyone. You have the “heads of state” like Nicki Minaj or someone up there as a reward: success, visibility, platform of influence. There are many other constructive ways Nicki could be effective, but she feels hopeless.
“Attention is also a drug and the competition is all around… Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion, they all make more or less similar salacious gestures to get into position. I understand, the independent and controlling woman, divine femininity and sexual expression. I understand everything, [but] at what cost?
Megan took to her Twitter after the harsh criticism, writing: “Guys lol are going to scream ‘slob on my k ***’ verbatim and cry about WAP [laughing while crying emoji] goodbye little boy.
Slob On My K *** is a 1999 song by Three 6 Mafia about oral sex from a male perspective.
However, he quickly apologized and broached the controversy, trying to make amends with the three rappers.
CeeLo released a statement on social media on Wednesday, saying there was a “ misunderstanding ” about his comments and that he was in fact a “ fan ” of Cardi, Megan and Nicki.
He wrote: ‘I know most of them personally and consider the Cardi & Offset family. Therefore, I would never disrespect them. I recognize them all as powerful, beautiful and influential women … and professionals.
No time for haters: Lena’s dance clip comes after CeeLo Green slams the song, questioning the musical content of Megan, Cardi and fellow rapper Nicki Minaj
“ I wholeheartedly apologize to each of them for the inconvenience they have been caused by using an excerpt from my interview as the title, thus creating controversy and disconnection between me and these ladies as well as their fans.
“Know that I support everyone who is part of our community and our culture. I always have and always will be!
He also called himself a “ defender of artistic freedom and expression ” in the Instagram post.
CeeLo concluded: “Much love to all the female artists who run the game and run their business. With love, Lo.
