Tonight’s game between the two rivals will be the first time an East Midlands derby has taken place in the Premier League since 2002.
The King Power will host the final two teams in the league, with both sides desperate to kick off their seasons after a disappointing first two months of the season.
Confidence will be low on both sides, but with the added incentive of a local derby, a reinvigorated performance could be expected from both sides.
Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers is under increasing pressure after a poor start to the season.
The Foxes have not picked up a point since drawing Brentford on Matchday 1, losing their last six and conceding 11 in their last two games alone.
Attacking midfielder James Maddison has been one of the few bright sparks for Rodgers’ side this season, scoring three times for the Foxes this season.
Newly promoted Forest are also in the midst of a losing streak, with Steve Cooper’s side scoreless in their last four games, and have given up the lead in their last two.
The season started well for Steve Cooper’s side, picking up four points in their first three games, but have failed to win any since mid-August and have fallen to 19th in the standings.
Tonight will be the first league meeting between the two sides since a 2-2 draw in 2014, but they met in the FA Cup fourth round last season, with Forest leading 4-1.
