Leicester celebrated their promotion to the Premier League in style by recreating their famous Jamie Vardy party scenes from eight years ago.

The Leicester stars appeared to be celebrating at one of their homes where they had the Leeds game on TV as they were beaten 4-0 by QPR at Loftus Road.

And in a video posted by Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, the midfielder showed the full-time result at the whistle and the resulting celebrations in a living room full of frenzied Foxes.

Leeds’ crushing defeat means Leicester have been promoted as they cannot finish outside the top two – seeing them return to the top tier at first ask.

The scenes of jubilation shown by Dewsbury-Hall largely resembled similar celebrations that took place in 2016, when Leicester were crowned Premier League champions against all odds.

On this occasion it was another west London club who secured them glory when Chelsea drew 2-2 against Tottenham, a match which was watched by the Leicester team at home Jamie Vardy and where a party broke out after the championship title was confirmed.

Although it was unclear whether Vardy was hosting again on Friday night, the forward is still part of the squad and was reportedly celebrating alongside his teammates.

Vardy celebrated with a video call from Dennis Wise who invited the striker to visit him with Italian side Como in the final match of the season.

The Leicester

Among them is summer signing Stephy Mavididi, who wrote: “Is it still too early? PREMIER LEAGUE BABY.”

Dewsbury-Hall had time to post: “Well…who’s in Leicester tonight?”

And Wilfried Ndidi said: “Congratulations to me, the boys, the club staff and the incredible fans.. There are still 2 left!!! We are coming back!!”

Leicester also poked fun at Leeds a bit, referencing the Yorkshire city’s Kaiser Chiefs song by writing: ‘I Predict A Riot’.

It was only a matter of time before famous Leicester fan and former Foxes star Gary Lineker got involved, tweeting: “Back in the big days. Come on Foxes, @LCFC.”

Leicester can no longer fall out of the top two but Ipswich Town could still overtake them to win the championship despite being inferior to Leeds.

The Whites have just one game remaining in the Championship while Ipswich have three and are just one point behind them.

Enzo Maresca’s men, meanwhile, will become champions if they win the remaining two matches.

Leicester are next in action on Monday evening against Preston North End at Deepdale – a clash exclusively live on talkSPORT 2 – before their final home game of the season where they take on Blackburn Rovers.

It means that whatever the result against the Lancashire side, there will be more scenes of celebration at Leicester on the final day – but many more if they manage to win the title.
