Katy Perry is back with another LEGO Group holiday ad, this time ahead of the premiere in an MCU-style timeline.
Much like Marvel, The LEGO Group is apparently trying to create a larger universe for the 2022 holiday ads, with the latest ad showing the build-up to the single featured in the first. Plus, the company is embedding a ton of references in there for fans to peruse.
In the latest video ad, we see a group of kids let their imaginations run wild by building a stage out of bricks. Katy Perry and a team of construction workers are affected by every new item the kids add, with various eclectic objects and animals popping up all around them.
After this introduction, the ad then returns to much of the same scenes from the first ad. However, the different intro gives us a little more story about what the kids are building in the first place: the perfect Christmas.
