Leeds fans were heard chanting ‘you let your country down’ at Marcus Rashford during their Premier League game against Manchester United.
The song was heard from afar at Old Trafford by several journalists present during the first half of the match.

Despite scoring for fun in Qatar
It’s not the first time the chant has been sung in the same game, with it first airing in August 2021 when Man United won 5-1.
On this occasion, it was one of the first matches with a full crowd returning to the Premier League since the start of the COVID pandemic.
It also happened shortly after Euro 2020, when Rashford and Jadon Sancho both missed penalties in the final shootout loss to Italy at Wembley.
The timing of a repeat broadcast is rather odd, however, given that since that tournament Rashford has featured for the Three Lions at the World Cup, scoring three goals in Qatar.
At the time of the first incident in 2021, opinions were divided on whether the chants were going too far, with talkSPORT host Danny Murphy saying it was just part of the game.
“I saw what David Beckham had to go through when he kicked Diego Simeone against Argentina and he just used it,” said the former England midfielder.

Rashford, along with Sancho and Bukayo Saka were abused for not finding the net in the final
“I remember he got hammered at Anfield, he was brilliant. It’s part of football.
“If you can’t stand it, you’re in the wrong job. If you’re talking about homophobia or racism, unacceptable, unnecessary, songs we used to sing when I was young about disasters, unacceptable of course.
“We know the line, most people listening know the line of right and wrong.
“You are going to make sure the guys who missed the penalties get a stick from the supporters on every pitch they go to.
“It’s just an integral part and it might inspire them to do more, it might affect them, but that’s just football.”
