Lee Mead has announced his engagement to fiancée Issy Szumniak.
The theater star, 41, who won the BBC Any Dream Will Do musical talent competition in 2007, took to Instagram on Sunday to share a photo of himself with permanent makeup artist and beautician Issy as she showed off her dazzling diamond ring.
The couple took to their respective Instagram pages to break the news to their followers.
West End performer Lee wrote: ‘So it happened today, and my lovely Issy said yes. We are both so happy and looking forward to spending eternity together.
Issy posted, “6 years and forever with you 5/23/23.”

Former Joseph and Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat cast member Lee confirmed his romance with mother-of-one Issy in 2018.
The former Holby City actor met the beautician on the way to school, Lee sharing daughter Betsy, 12, with ex-wife Denise van Outen, 48.
The star – who recently showed the results of his hair transplant – said romance blossomed with Issy when he met her at a cafe after picking up Betsy from school.
Of their debut Lee previously told The Sun: “We got on really well, but it took a while before I found the courage to ask him out.
“She’s a lovely wife and she’s also a mother, which I think helps. She’s based in Kent and she’s not in the same business as me; I don’t know if that’s a good or a bad thing!
“I’m not one to rush into relationships and I was single for six years, but it’s good to have found someone. We’ve been together for a little over a year and it’s been going really well. We had a great weekend together recently and we are very happy.
Lee was previously married to Denise after meeting on Any Dream Will Do on which she was a judge and he was a contestant.
The former couple said ‘yes’ to Seychelles in 2009 and went on to welcome daughter Betsy in 2010. However, Denise confirmed they separated in June 2013.

They secured a ‘quick’ divorce at the Central Family Court in just 90 seconds in 2015.
The couple initially separated in June 2013, but they remain good friends as they co-parent daughter Betsy.
District Judge Heather MacGregor ended the six-year marriage on the grounds that it had broken down irretrievably and the couple had been living apart for more than two years.

Denise previously told The Sun’s Fabulous magazine about the breakup: “I have no regrets marrying Lee. He’s a lovely person.
