LeBron James and the Lakers win against the Nuggets as NBA fans debate whether the team can pull off a comeback – Bleacher Report

The Los Angeles Lakers are finally in the win column against the Denver Nuggets after winning Game 4 119-108.

After three straight second-half collapses, the Lakers managed to hold off Denver’s surge to make it a 3-1 series. LeBron James played almost perfectly in the second half, allowing his team to win. James finished with 30 points, including 14 in the fourth quarter. Anthony Davis was also a big factor with 25 points and 23 rebounds.

The Lakers still have a long way to go to advance to the second round, but fans praised the club for avoiding a sweep and questioned whether they have what it takes to make a successful comeback:

The Lakers don’t have history on their side as no team has ever come back from a 3-0 deficit, but we’ve already seen James make history.

A major difference in Saturday’s victory was the contribution of Los Angeles’ role players. D’Angelo Russell stepped up and had 21 points and Austin Reaves also scored 21. It will take performances like that for the Lakers to pull off a miraculous comeback.

Los Angeles knows it can count on James and Davis, but the secondary players will need to give them a little help moving forward.
