Last week, the Samsung Galaxy Buds FE user manual went live, shedding light on what the presumably budget-friendly TWS earbuds would look like. It didn’t take long for industry leaker Roland Quandt to get his hands on a few more details about the upcoming headphones and share them on X, previously Twitter.
Granted, the post only contains three real pieces of information, one of which is probably not that important: the color choices are graphite or white. We got an overview of both in the aforementioned user manual. A segment on the earbuds showing its layout and functions shows the former, while the tip on the charging case displays the latter.

Next on the list is the claim that the Samsung Galaxy Buds FE will feature 12mm AKG drivers on either side. This is also not a real surprise since AKG is a subsidiary of Harman, itself placed under the umbrella of Samsung Electronics. With that in mind, we’ve seen a lot of involvement from AKG when it comes to the South Korean tech giant’s audio products.
Finally, and probably the most important information from the article, is the rumored price of the Samsung Galaxy Buds FE. Quandt claims it will cost US$99.99 (~RM466), putting it at just over half the price of the Galaxy Buds2 Pro. That said, it remains to be seen whether the price of the FE TWS Buds will be a solid indicator of what you can expect compared to existing models.
As mentioned in the previous report, there is no indication yet when we can expect all of this to be confirmed. Assuming that the Samsung Galaxy Buds FE will indeed be revealed alongside the S23 FE, we’re already in the current announcement window of Q4 2023.
