Inter are expected to see two key returns to their starting XI when they face Sheriff Tiraspol in the Champions League on Tuesday, with players like Lautaro Martinez and Hakan Calhanoglu likely to start the game.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, which reports the pair should be fit enough to play from the start as Inter welcome the Moldovan champions.
Martinez had been absent from the Nerazzurri’s starting lineup in the Serie A loss to Lazio yesterday due to a lack of rest after his late return from international duty, while Calhanoglu received a minor blow while playing for the Turkey.
However, each of the duo should be ready to start the sheriff’s shock, with manager Simone Inzaghi already set to start considering his squad for this game in the aftermath of the Lazio loss.
Chileans Arturo Vidal and Alexis Sanchez are also set to return to the Nerazzurri squad for the game after being left behind after returning at the eleventh hour of international duty, but neither are expected to start the game.
