Lauren James is a doubt for Chelsea ahead of their Champions League semi-final first leg against Barcelona.
The 22-year-old is Chelsea’s top scorer with 15 goals in all competitions this season and is present for Saturday’s clash with Barca after missing the 3-0 WSL win over Aston Villa on Wednesday.
James trained separately from her teammates Friday morning. If she is fit and plays on Saturday, she could be vital to the Blues’ hopes of victory at the 54,000-seat Olympic Stadium in Barcelona.
Millie Bright, who has been out of action since injuring her knee in November, has been training alongside James but is not expected to feature.
Emma Hayes’ side top the WSL table on goal difference and are also chasing a maiden Champions League triumph, but their FA Cup hopes were ended by Manchester United in Sunday’s semi-final last.
They also lost the Conti Cup final to Arsenal last month.
