After the 1TB model dropped to the best price ever for Prime Day, Amazon is now offering the Samsung T7 Shield 2TB Portable SSD at $199.99 shipped. Now available at a discount in all colors, the regular $240 SSD is now at a new all-time low on Amazon. It was launched in April and remains the latest model in Samsung’s portable lineup with USB 3.2 Gen 2 support, USB-C connectivity and transfer rates of up to 1050MB/s. Apart from the rubberized outer shell, it also has an IP65 water and dust protection rating and we found it to be a standout option in the product category after trying it out a few months ago. While this option offers a lighter 500GB capacity, if you can make do with less storage space, it’s an even more affordable solution that can move data even faster (up to 1100MB/ s). It may not be as protected as the T7 Shield and comes from a company arguably less desirable to some, PNY is a trusted storage brand offering notable value on its latest range of portable SSDs from $60 at present.
