High-performance SUVs are in a niche market, but any gasoline lover worth their salt has probably wondered which example is faster. Fortunately, AutoTrader The last video features a drag race between the Lamborghini Urus and the Lister Stealth – a tuned version of the Jaguar F-Pace SVR.
Too often we see drag races that can be sorted out with a quick glance at performance. However, this version is different because the Urus and the Stealth are very close in the performance department. But at what point?
Of course, after a quick glance at the datasheet, you could argue that the list could eventually rise to the top. You’d be right, but it’s still along the same lines as the Urus with only about 25 more horsepower – 665.7 horsepower (496.4 kilowatts) to be exact – and tilting the scales by 130 kilograms (286 pounds). less than its rival.
After the first shot from a standing start, it turns out these numbers don’t matter as Urus’ launch control system was not functioning properly. The rolling race that followed was a different story, but not a complete role reversal. The Italian SUV kept pace with the Briton but could not open a breach. While these races were very interesting, we would have liked to see a 0-100-0 test as the Urus has the biggest brakes ever fitted to a production car – the front discs measuring a whopping 440 millimeters (17.3 inches ) of diameter . This thing might not accelerate the fastest, but we bet it would wreck everything in a brake test.
Numbers aside, it’s a brilliant sight to see these two vehicles fight at full blast. The Lister might have won the challenges, but we’d bet we were all victorious if we were lucky enough to see these two dukes defeat.
