Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed that Kylian Mbappe has signed a new contract with the club – but La Liga say they have reported the French club to UEFA.
The Frenchman’s contract with PSG was due to expire next month and he was expected to sign for Real Madrid after a verbal agreement between the two parties.

He played against Real Madrid earlier this season – but won’t sign for them
But the French side have now confirmed that after an apparent change of heart from the 23-year-old, he will now stay in the French capital.
They posted on their social networks the phrase “Our history is written here”. Here is Paris’, alongside a video of Mbappe standing atop the Parc des Princes.
They also posted that he signed a three-year extensionkeeping him at the club until 2025, meaning they can charge a hefty fee if the player wants to leave.
Mbappe said: “I would like to announce that I have chosen to extend my contract at Paris Saint-Germain, and of course I am delighted.
“I am convinced that here I can continue to grow in a club that offers everything needed to perform at the highest level.
“I am also delighted to continue playing in France, the country where I was born, where I grew up and where I made my name.
“I would like to thank the President, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, for his trust, his understanding and his patience. I would also like to thank all Paris Saint-Germain supporters, in France and around the world, for their support, especially in recent months.
“Together, side by side and ambitious, we will make magic in Paris.”
PSG – who have already won the Ligue 1 title, having finished second to Lille last season – signed Mbappe for £165million in 2018 after an initial loan deal from Monaco.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side play their last league game of the season on Saturday night at the Parc des Princes and their title celebrations will follow the clash with Metz.
But, while winning the French title is great, fans will be celebrating something much bigger after Mbappe signs his extension with the club.
