Kyle Walker has reiterated his desire to adopt Dave the cat after his four-legged friend ended up in a ‘junkyard’ at the England training base.
The Manchester City defender is one of many England stars to love the stray cat who has taken up residence at the Three Lions’ Al Wakrah hotel.
Given Dave’s name, the cat has become a real hit with the Three Lions team who have featured him in several social media videos, with Walker and John Stones among those who adore him.
Walker even suggested he would be willing to adopt the cat and bring him back to the UK, which he is still open to in order to help him avoid another turf fight.
When asked how his feline friend was doing, Walker replied, “Dave is fine.
“He had a little fight with another cat the other night.
“I think they fight for territory and food. But he’s fine.
“I hope I can keep my promise that he will come home with us if we win the World Cup.
“Dave is fine, thanks for asking.”
