Kyle Sandilands appeared to confirm that Allison Langdon is replacing Tracy Grimshaw as host of A Current Affair after the veteran reporter hung up her boots on Thursday.
Speaking to Grimshaw on his KIIS FM radio show on Wednesday, the shock athlete said he knew he was the Today show host.
Kyle claimed he had a private conversation with Langdon’s Today show co-host Karl Stefanovic, who asked for his advice on a potential replacement for her.

‘I feel like I know, because I talked to [Karl] Stefanovic,” he told Grimshaw after asking her about his replacement.
“Well, let me just tell everyone it’s Ally. I don’t want to burst the Channel Nine bubble.
Sandilands said Stefanovic did not tell him their conversation was “confidential”.
‘Maybe it was a personal conversation? I don’t know… But he didn’t ask me not to say anything,” he continued.
Grimshaw remained coy when pressed by rumors as to who would replace her, saying each candidate for the job was ‘an exemplary person’
Channel Nine has yet to confirm who Grimshaw’s replacement is and Sandilands could most likely have joked and simply tried to get the longtime ACA host to reveal who the actual contender is.

Channel Nine has yet to confirm who Grimshaw’s replacement is and Sandilands could most likely have joked and simply tried to get the longtime ACA host to reveal who the actual contender is.
“But unfortunately they are replacing me with someone excellent.”
“I can’t give you a clue, but you will find out very soon,” she added. “I wouldn’t be surprised if you knew next week. »
Last week, Sandilands grilled Langdon, 43, when he appeared on Today after his week-long absence from the breakfast show.
The co-host awkwardly dodged questions about her rumored move.
‘Are you doing the A Current Affair or not?’ asked Sandilands.
Taken aback by the question, Langdon jokingly replied, “Well, I’m going to do the Today show, I’m going to do A Current Affair, I’m going to coach the Wallabies and I think Dan Andrews might offer me a ministry.
But Sandilands didn’t back down and kept pushing for a proper response.
“Let’s stop the speculation. Are you doing A Current Affair? Tell us ! he said.

Langdon has remained tight-lipped about her potential move to prime time, hinting that she could never “leave” Stefanovic alone on the Today show.
Sandilands asked once again, “Are you doing it or not?” to which Langdon replied, “No.”
“So you don’t?” he asked again.
” Far ! Langdon exclaimed, prompting Stefanovic to say, “With all this questioning, he should do A Current Affair!”
Langdon, who joined Today in early 2020, would be keen to move to ACA as the hours are easier as a working mom.
While Nine hasn’t made an announcement regarding ACA’s new host, it’s believed the network is only considering applicants from its own ranks.
This rules out The Project host Carrie Bickmore, who is leaving Channel 10 at the end of this month and was previously linked to the starring role.
Nine political reporter Chris O’Keefe was also ruled out as a candidate after it was announced on Sunday that he would upgrade to 2GB.
If Langdon gets the ACA job, she can add her name to an illustrious list that includes broadcast titans like Ray Martin, Mike Munro and Jana Wendt.
Coincidentally, her husband Mike Willesee Jr is the son of the late former ACA great Mike Willesee who hosted the show’s first three seasons and, later, five more.
For A Current Affair, this will be the first new host since Grimshaw replaced Ray Martin in 2006.
