Kourtney Kardashian has revealed that she initially said no to Travis Barker’s numerous requests for vegan sushi dates and trips to the movies to watch romantic comedies.

And it wasn’t until the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star’s therapist stepped in and encouraged her to date the drummer that she decided to give Barker a try.

Today, the 43-year-old reality star and the 46-year-old Blink 182 musician are married and enjoying their blended family. together they raise six children.

She was initially hesitant: Kourtney Kardashian revealed that she initially said no to Travis Barker’s many requests for vegan sushi dates and trips to the movies to watch romantic comedies. And it wasn’t until the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star’s therapist stepped in and encouraged her to date the drummer that she decided to give Barker a try.

The two were longtime friends living in the same neighborhood of Calabasas, California. Their children often hung out together and it brought them closer.

But when Barker started asking the pin-up girl out, she backed out.

The brunette beauty – who has Mason, 12, Penelope, ten and Reign, seven, with ex-boyfriend Scott Disick – told the Apple Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast: ‘He would ask me to go get some sushi or vegan sushi, of course… he would ask me to go to the movies.

‘I could never go there. I never could,” she noted.

‘And [the therapist] was like, “Why? You know, he seems like a good dad.” ‘

Barker has children Alabama and Landon with ex-wife Shanna Moakler. And he is also a relative of Atianna De La Hoya, whose parents are Shanna and Oscar De La Hoya.

But Kourtney wasn’t ready to get frisky with the rocker: I was just like, “What if he tries to kiss me or holds my hand or what if?” Kourtney said on the podcast. .

Eventually, Kourtney listened to her therapist and saw a movie with Travis, which led to their romance.

Travis previously admitted he was “fine” before he started dating Kourtney.

The music star – who was previously married to Melissa Kennedy and Moakler – admitted he wasn’t particularly looking for love at the time.

He said: ‘[I was] I’m fine with being single for the rest of my life and being a studio rat.

Despite this, Travis acknowledges that he now “comes alive” again after falling in love with Kourtney.

The musician – who married the reality TV star earlier this year – said: “I love my career. I found the love of my life. She healed me. I feel like to live again.

The beloved couple shared their romance on The Kardashians – but they still try to keep some things ‘sacred’.

Also on the podcast, Kardashian said she felt “pushed” to undergo IVF treatment.

The star is keen on having a baby with hubby Travis Barker – but now feels much more philosophical about the situation than she once did.

Kourtney shared, “I got to a place where I felt exactly how timing was everything with me and Travis. I feel – really – like it was meant to be, it will happen.

The brunette beauty and Travis, 46, are ‘done with IVF’ for now.

Kourtney also suggested she had previously been pressured to try the treatment, which helps people struggling with fertility issues.

She said: “I felt like we were pressured into doing IVF.” Kourtney and Travis tied the knot earlier this year.

But the reality star was disappointed in how their romance was overshadowed by Scott’s reaction to their engagement on “The Kardashians.”

Kourtney – who split from Scott in 2015 – told the ‘Not Skinny But Not Fat’ podcast ‘I was upset they chose to take my fairy tale and include that part of it. It just bothered me, like, those people who, you know, [are on the] production [team] are, like, choosing what my story is.

Kourtney understands why TV bosses might choose to focus on Scott’s reaction.

But she was still “disturbed” by how it was portrayed on screen.

She said: “I think it just bothered me because it felt like my fairy tale. Yeah. And I was like, ‘Why can’t we show the happy ending? Why do we need to focus on this? And I get the TV and blah, blah, blah. For me, I didn’t have it. I was like, ‘You wouldn’t do this to someone else.’
