Kobe Bryant: Claims deputies shared graphic photos of the accident

An investigation is underway to find out if the Sheriff’s MPs have shared graphic photos of the helicopter crash scene where Kobe Bryant, his 13-year-old daughter and seven others were killed.

According to the Los Angeles Times, a public security source saw one of the photos on the phone of another official in an unrelated setting.

He said the photos showed the scene and the remains of the victims.

The assistant to the LA County Sheriff, Maria Lucero, said that “the matter is under consideration”.

The LA Times said it was unclear to what extent the photos could have been shared and who was involved.

It is also unclear whether MPs took the photos themselves or received them from someone else.

The Association for Los Angeles Deputy Sheriffs, the union that represents grassroots MPs, declined to comment specifically on the claims.

“As with all inquiries, we will aggressively represent our members and protect their rights,” the union said in a statement.

Bryant and daughter Gianna were honored Monday at a public memorial at the Staples Center, where Bryant has played for most of his 20-year career with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Bryant’s widow Vanessa also filed a wrongful death suit this week, alleging that pilot Ara Zobayan was careless and careless in flying in cloudy conditions and should have stopped the flight.
