Kid Cudi is ready to tell his story.
The rapper announced that his documentary, A man named Scott, arrives on Amazon Prime Video on November 5. He shared the first trailer featuring interviews, live footage, and fan testimonials.
“Everything I do is to help people in some way or another,” Cudi said as he shared his mission. “I needed to feel something with the music. How can I push it? “
The documentary also explores the dark side of stardom. As his career took off, he fought his own demons. “I just had a hard time dealing with Scott’s adjustments to Kid Cudi,” said Cudi, who went to rehab in 2016 for depression. “People admire me, but I’m not a happy person because I felt like an impostor. This is what prompted me to escape reality.
He hopes his story will help others in their quest for happiness. “I sacrificed the privacy of my life and shared my story to help others. This has always been my mission.
Cudi has more movie projects on the horizon, including the Netflix movie Do not seek with Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence. He also collaborated with JAY-Z on a song called “My Guns Go Bang” for the soundtrack of The more they fall.
