Keke Palmer has her sights set on playing Rapunzel in a hypothetical live-action movie about the princess. Luckily, the “Nope” star has a habit of asking for roles – and getting them. In fact, Palmer has actually reached out for her roles in “Insecure” and the movie “Sister Act 3,” proving that her long list of talents also includes the power of persuasion.
Before appearing in the fifth season of ‘Insecure’, she tweeted at Issa Rae saying, “Hey @IssaRae there has been some confusion. I posted about my excitement for ‘Insecure’ season 5 and now everyone thinks i’m gonna be We can’t let them down put me on to beat Condola’s ass real quick And for her role in ‘Sister Act 3’ she asked Whoopi Goldberg directly when she starred in “The View”.
This time, Palmer manifests his dream role with a little more casualness. Amid the conversation surrounding Halle Bailey’s casting as live-action Ariel in “The Little Mermaid,” one of Palmer’s fans tweeted“I want Keke Palmer to play Rapunzel live with 100ft box braids.”
On Instagram, Palmer shared a screenshot of the message from fans alongside the caption, “The internet already has me booked all of next year. I’m not available until 2024 at this rate.”
There have long been rumors of a live-action adaptation of Disney’s animated version of Rapunzel’s story, “Tangled,” but the film has yet to make it onto Disney’s slate of ongoing projects. Those currently slated for release soon include “Snow White” and “Hercules.”
