Katy Perry comrade teased american idol judge Luke Bryan about her “man crush” on her fiancé, actor, Orlando Bloom in a May 16 interview with Go to Hollywood.
Perry and his companion Idol judges Bryan and Lionel Richie reacted to the contestants who made the top 3 when speaking with Go to Hollywood.
In discussing what has changed in the past five years since Perry, Bryan and Richie joined the Idol franchise, Go to Hollywood mentioned Perry’s daughter, Daisy as well as her temporary move to Kentucky where her fiancé Bloom is filming her new movie, red right hand.
That’s when Perry teased Bryan about his “man crush” on Bloom.
“In an effort to really shame me, Katy showed me some clips of [Red Right Hand] with shirtless Orlando doing pull-ups,” Bryan explained. “I mean, he engages already incredible muscles. Therefore, already sending my man crush to the next level.
“Crash man on the moon,” Perry added, before Bryan added, “I tell Katy to get Orlando to write me everything he eats because I need more.
Bryan and Bloom’s ‘bromance’ was teased during this season of IdolBryan joking that he and Bloom were “slowly falling in love”.
“[Orlando] talking about you now in the car all the time,” Perry told Bryan. “It’s crazy. He’s like, ‘Luke is such a good guy, isn’t he?'” she shared. “Yeah Yeah. He’s a lovely kid.
In another clip from this season of IdolBryan could be seen holding his iPhone to his ear while a makeup artist applied touch-ups between auditions.
“Orlando loves taking a call,” Perry said before a third clip of her on the phone with her fiancé aired. Perry had his phone on speaker, prompting Bryan to say “what’s up, mate?”. Bloom then replied, “what’s up bro?”, prompting a laugh from Bryan.
“Get someone who looks at you like Orlando looks at Luke,” Perry said in a later clip in which she cried over how her fiancé seemed to love Bryan more than she did.
“I haven’t heard from my fiancé all day,” she shared. “But in the meantime, he’s video messaging Luke with hearts in his eyes.”
In February, Bryan opened up to hello america about her growing friendship with the English actor, saying Perry was jealous of their bromance.
“[Katy is] really kinda jealous because she thinks Orlando might have a bit of a crush on me,” Bryan said. hello america. “Orlando came to Nashville and I had all these outdoor activities planned for him. So yeah, me and Orlando, our love is strong,” he said.
american idol recently wrapped up its 20th season last Sunday (May 22), crowning Kentucky native Noah Thompson as the winner.
