Katy Perry demonstrated how she stays in the limelight by celebrating “Saturn Day” this weekend.
The “Daisies” singer took to social media to share a calming message with her 108 million followers as she took off her shoes to feel the Earth beneath her feet. In a bohemian chic ensemble, Perry unconventionally layered a semi-sheer tie-dye dress over what looked like a set of long-sleeved floral pajamas with matching pants.
The new mom, who welcomed her first child with fiance Orlando Bloom in August, is no stranger to the comfortable style of rest. Earlier this month, the “Firework” singer voted by mail in a mid-length chunky Hatch sweater dress and a trendy pair of shoes – and a special extra addition. Once she placed her vote, the musician tossed a life-size “I voted” button shaped like a giant helmet to send a clear message.
The Perry sandals came in the form of Birkenstock’s Arizona Shearling Sandals, a classic double-strap pair reimagined with a fur interior lining for fall. Complete with a signature cork finish, the shoes can be found for $ 150 on Zappos.com.
Considered traditionally ‘ugly’ in the fashion world, the ‘Dark Horse’ star has joined the long list of celebrities (such as Heidi Klum, Katie Holmes and Chris Pine) in changing their sleek heels for sandals. orthopedic or athletic aspect like iterations of Teva, Adidas, Prada and, of course, Birkenstock.
In addition to wearing stylish shoes, the singer also has her own line of shoes. Perry launched his eponymous collection in 2016 as a joint venture with Global Brands Group Holding Ltd.
“I like my shoes to tell a story through the heel, [asking]: ‘Can it be that or that?’ I’ve tried putting a lot of different figurines or different adornments on the heels just to tell a story and hopefully start conversations through your feet wherever you go, whatever you do, ”Perry told FN. about his brand in 2018.
