Katy Perry talks about Zooey Deschanel’s deep help during her maternity leave.
The singer brought it all to light during her interview with People magazine and was quoted as saying: “[I’m taking it] one day at a time, find a balance and learn the lessons as you go and don’t be afraid to learn.
The Grammy Award-winning singer added, “When I make mistakes, I learn from them. These moments of imperfection – because I don’t believe in perfection – are really precious to me. This is where the growth comes from. “
While enjoying maternity leave and preparing for her next Pokémon collaboration, Perry admits she often referred to her lookalike as Zooey Deschanel. “I was so happy to be a mother, but I was like ‘Oh, there’s this idea in the back of my head.’
“I knew the time was ticking and now was the time, so I contacted her personally, and it was amazing. She showed up for me while I was on maternity leave, basically.”
“As a pop star you don’t really have a 9 to 5, so it’s up to me to create a schedule and balance, and she was totally depressed and thought it was fun.”

“She’ll always be the most important thing ever, naturally. But I love being a working mom. I don’t think there’s anything negative about it. It’s like, ‘Wow , can you do that and that? ‘ All right! She’s a woman, you know? “
