Two reality TV stars got engaged. Mike Holloway, who was crowned winner of “ Survivor: Worlds Apart ” in 2015, and Meg Maley, who appeared in season 17 of “ Big Brother ” the same year, announced their engagement on Instagram.
On Friday July 10, Maley, 30, shared a photo of herself and Holloway kissing, while showing off her engagement ring, captioned: “When he drives 11pm to make sure you are with your family, plan a fam scavenger hunt, the sweetest proposition and it’s THE guy you say yes. I couldn’t be happier.
Holloway, 43, had a much shorter message. Captioning the same photo, he wrote: “I liked it.” You can see the photo here.
Several of their “Big Brother; and “Survivor” co-stars including Da’Vonne Rogers, Aubrey Bracco, Josh Martinez, Janelle Pierzina and Natalie Negrotti congratulated the newly engaged couple. Kemi Fakunle in season 21 of “Big Brother” wrote: “Omg! Wonderful congratulations! I am so happy for both of you.
Former NFL cheerleader Natalie Mercedes Negrotti and ‘Big Brother’ Season 18 alum wrote, “I CRYINGGGGGG U TWO R ANGELS CONGRATS !!!” adding: “You deserve all the happiness in the world, your beautiful soul.” GinaMarie Zimmerman from Season 15 of “Big Brother” wrote, “You are the most amazing people of all time. Congratulations, I am so excited for you both.
In 2015, Holloway, a Texas-based oil driller, participated in “Survivor: Worlds Apart,” the 30th season of “Survivor,” as part of the Blue Collar Tribe and won. Now a resident of North Richland Hills, Holloway, an American football fan, started a company called Sweet T’s Designs with his friend.
When Maley arrived on the sets of “Big Brother”, she was all 25 years old. A New Jersey-based waitress, she appeared on the reality show’s 17th season just a month after Holloway won her title. While on the show, she earned the title of “Grandma Meg” among guests and fans. Due to her diagnosed arthritis, she did not perform well in her duties. Meg also appeared in Season 18 of “Big Brother” to discuss gameplay from James Huling and Da’Vonne Rogers.
In December 2015, months after “ Big Brother ” Season 17 ended, Holloway invited Maley to a charity dance in Dallas, Texas. The two then began a long-distance relationship. They reportedly went on vacation to Puerto Rico in July 2016. In February 2018, Maley moved to Texas to live with him. Soon after, they adopted a dog named Wallace.
Earlier this year, Holloway paid tribute to his and Maley’s debut on CBS in the premiere of the final season of “ Survivor. ” “Congratulations to #Survivor,” he wrote. “20 years of rapprochement. Meg and I are very grateful to #CBS #Survivor #BB without you there would be no us. #Thankful Can’t wait to watch all my mates looking forward to an amazing #winnersatwar season ”.
In December 2019, Maley and Holloway celebrated the fourth anniversary of their union. “About four years ago today this guy knew he kept calling me… and calling me,” she wrote on Instagram. “So grateful and lucky to call this my family.”
