Katy Perry has hinted that she may start working on a brand new album “soon”.
Talk to The Drew Barrymore Show Last night, the singer revealed plans to do the sequel to 2020’s “Smile.”
Talk about her To play Residency in Las Vegas, where Perry will perform at the Theater at Resorts World until September 22, Perry said of writing new music: “I’m probably going to go make another record soon and write it and do the around the world after that, which will be so awesome.”
The album will serve as the first piece of new material since Perry featured on Thomas Rhett’s single “Where We Started” – a song the duo performed on. American idol. Watch the pair’s performance of ‘Where We Started’ below.
Along with discussing wanting to make a new record, Perry also opened up about her struggles separating her personal and professional life.
“I think, obviously, there’s a character on stage,” she said. “I save a lot of that energy to be on stage and compose it. I really like this show that I put together. It’s my favorite show, it’s the one that brings the most joy.
Meanwhile, Perry also recently won his copyright appeal for his single “Dark Horse” against rapper Flames for his song “Joyful Noise.” An eight-year court battle concluded with no offense against Katy Perry, with federal courts ultimately refusing to reinstate the original $2.8 million verdict against Perry, with the judge overturning the original verdict against her in 2020.
More recently, Katy Perry was also seen throwing slices of pizza at dancers at a Las Vegas nightclub.
