Katherine Ryan has called Leonardo DiCaprio “scary” following reports he was seeing a 19-year-old model.
The 48-year-old Hollywood actor was pictured getting close to Israeli model Eden Polani at artist Ebony Rileys’ EP release party in Los Angeles, California on January 31.
Leonardo has earned a controversial reputation for dating exclusively women under 25 – with the exception of model Gigi Hadid, 27, who he was believed to have dated last year.
Her rumored new love interest has drawn a lot of criticism, given model Eden’s teenage years, and comedian Katherine was among those to have her say on the matter.
A Twitter thread posted in response to the reported romance saw Right to Equality women and girls campaign director Dr Charlotte Proudman write: ‘Not enough people are talking about Leonardo DiCaprio who is almost 50’ approximates “a 19-year-old girl.”
Katherine replied, “That’s literally all I’ve talked about for SEVEN YEARS.”
When asked by a commentator what the “crime” was, as both Leonardo and Eden are “adults”, Katherine replied, “No crime, just a scary pattern. »
Another Twitter user suggested Leonardo had ‘Titanic trauma’, writing, “He dates women like he’s still the age he was when he shot it, and he’s STILL vacationing on a yacht. The guy needs EMDR.”
Katherine joked, “This year Titanic got too old for Leonardo DiCaprio to be in.”
The Duchess star later corrected her earlier remark, adding that she had in fact ‘salt’ Leonardo for ‘almost a decade’.
Katherine wasn’t done bashing the Don’t Look Up actor and took to Instagram Stories to expand on her reaction by reposting an article she posted about her thoughts on him.
She wrote, “I also said he’s a F***ING LOSER see also Dane Cook see also Scott Disick,” referring to Kourtney Kardashian’s ex who, at 39, also dated a majority of young women under the age of 25.
Leonardo was spotted on a date with model Victoria Lamas, 23, before being photographed with Eden in December.
It came after his relationship with actress Camilla Morrone, who turned 25 in June, reportedly ended last summer after four years.
The split sparked further controversy around Leonardo, as it was speculated that he had put time on romance in pursuit of someone younger.
