Kate Bosworth announces separation from husband Michael Polish after eight years together

Kate Bosworth has announced her separation from her husband Michael Polish.

The actress, 38, took to Instagram to announce the breakup Thursday morning, sharing a tender photo of the couple kissing with a long caption.

After several paragraphs of reflecting on love, Kate wrote, “Our hearts are full, for we have never been more in love and deeply grateful for each other than in this decision to go our separate ways.”

The couple married in 2013. Bosworth is the mother-in-law of a Polish daughter from a previous marriage.

Kate’s rather poetic message began with two quotes, which she attributed to “Big Sur, 2011”.

“‘Would you like to split a burger? ” Yes.’

“How about a glass of whiskey?” ‘Damn it, yes.’

Kate continued, “The beginning is often the best part of love. Fireworks, magnets, rebellion – the attraction. The beginning signals a wide range of possibilities. Share a burger with someone when you fall in love, and you can die happy knowing it’s your last meal.
