Today’s host Karl Stefanovic surprised viewers when he revealed his dirty feet on Friday.

The 46-year-old put on a dapper display in a tight-fitting suit and tie set for the morning show.

But towards the end of the show, he and his co-host Allison Langdon did an obstacle course challenge, which was refereed by rugby union star Wendell Sailor, 48.

As Allison took off her heels, she told viewers that Karl had been gone “ all morning ” without wearing any shoes or socks.

Karl clearly had no problem showing the condition of his soles.

He ran around the set and laid on the clean bed, leaving his dirty footprints on the mattress.

Prior to the challenge, he called going barefoot “a Queensland thing”.

“ Starting at a young age and running away from the brass, it’s best when you don’t have shoes on, ” he joked.

While Karl apparently expected a victory at the end of the challenge, Wendell declared both hosts as the winners as he forgot to mention that they had to get a soccer ball at the end of the challenge.

Allison and Karl have co-hosted the show together since January, debuting earlier than expected to cover Australia’s bushfire crisis.

Karl was fired from the program in December 2018 after 14 years of hosting the longtime TV show, before making his dramatic comeback.

The announcement came shortly after her marriage to Jasmine Yarbrough, 35, amid increasingly scrutiny of her personal life.
