Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri has revealed Weston McKennie will not feature in their next game as he has ‘agreed’ to a transfer – reportedly to Leeds United.
The United States international midfielder has been linked with a move to the Premier League, with Leeds interested before Nottingham Forest also enter the race for him.

Weston McKennie close to Premier League move
McKennie has been on the sidelines at Juventus for some time now and a transfer could be considered in the final days of the transfer window.
Speaking to the press ahead of Juventus’ league game against Monza on Sunday afternoon, Allegri said: “McKennie, there won’t be tomorrow. I believe the club have reached an agreement with their next club and therefore, it is useless to summon him tomorrow.”
It is further reported that Leeds are the club that won the race to sign the 24-year-old, claiming he has agreed to join the Premier League side on a loan deal.
Los Blancos have been in constant contact with Juventus over a move for McKennie, and he would add to their USA contingent which already includes players Tyler Adams and Brendan Aaronson, as well as head coach Jesse Marsch.
Forest recently considered the possibility of signing McKennie as they look to improve their hopes of surviving in the Premier League for at least another season.
But it appears he is now on his way to undergo a medical in Leeds, with fabrice romano claiming there will be an option to buy McKennie at the end of the loan spell for around £30million, and that he has already agreed personal terms for a move to Elland Road.

McKennie and Adams are international teammates
McKennie has been with Juventus since 2020, initially joining the Turin giants on loan from Schalke before signing a permanent contract.
He joined the German club in 2017 after deciding to leave Major League Soccer side FC Dallas.
While he was an important figure in the Juventus team at the start of his career with the Bianconeri, things have since changed and he hasn’t been as impactful.
He will be hoping to return to his peak form in England and make his mark with his first Premier League shot in the rest of the season.
