Justin Bieber tops both the Hot 100 singles charts and the Billboard 200 total albums this week, but those hits don’t tell the whole story of his near complete dominance there. The Canadian singer-songwriter is also invading the chart of the most important songs in the United States with almost every track appearing on his latest feature, claiming over 10% of the entire roster for himself this time – this.
Bieber’s name appears in 13 places on this week’s Hot 100, and all of these songs are taken from his new album. Justice. There are a handful of big names in the industry who can expect to accomplish something similar when they have a new album, but it’s still pretty impressive for a single act to take up so much space at a time. .
The first of Bieber’s many Hot 100 hits is “Peaches,” which not only ends up at number 1 this week, it’s making its debut at the top of the count. The track is the pop star’s seventh lead and his fifth chart-topping debut. He is also the first champion of star artists Giveon and Daniel Caesar.
Surprisingly, Bieber is only scoring a top 40 hit trio this week, with just one track (“Peaches”) entering this competitive space for the first time. “Anyone” and “Hold On” have appeared in the arena before, although the latter of the two reaches a new high, finally entering the top 20.
Joining Bieber in his winning streak are fellow musicians Khalid, The Kid Laroi, Dominic Fike, BEAM, Burna Boy and the aforementioned Giveon and Daniel Caesar, all of whom are featured on Justice.
Every song of Justice which is long enough to hit the Hot 100 (which rules out an interlude) has now been on the chart for at least a week. The first singles “Holy” with Chance the Rapper and “Lonely” with Benny Blanco don’t feature this image, but they peaked at numbers 3 and 12, respectively.
With his slew of new wins, Bieber racked up 98 Hot 100 hits. He has now passed James Brown and Eminem, according to Billboard, and he’s just two stops away from becoming the eleventh player to score triple-digit smashes.
