Justin Bieber fans have been threatened with arrest for flouting COVID-19 guidelines.
French police were forced to take action after dozens of Justin Bieber fans allegedly ignored current health and safety guidelines to gather outside the Paris hotel he is staying at.
The Canadian singer visited the hotel after flying to the French capital’s wife Hailey Bieber to celebrate her 27th birthday.
But his arrival in Paris caused a stir, with fans allegedly flouting social distancing measures to get a glimpse of it, leading to around 40 police officers being called in to disperse the crowd of more than 150 fans.
A source told MailOnline: ‘There were a lot of fans waiting outside the Mandarin Oriental, Justin Bieber’s hotel.
“ Police initially secured the area by placing fans on the sidewalk, but the number of fans continued to grow.
The police then asked the fans to evacuate the street within 15 minutes, after which they would arrest the fans for illegal gathering because of the COVID. ”
It is reported that more than 80,000 people have lost their lives due to Covid-19 in France since the start of the pandemic.
Justin Bieber would have fulfilled his work commitments in the capital during his visit.
