Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is pushing to complete a deal for Jude Bellingham ahead of Manchester City, Real Madrid and Manchester United, according to SkySport journalist Florian Plettenberg on Twitter.
The well-known and respected journalist has claimed Liverpool and Klopp are pushing for a deal for Bellingham next summer.
Reigning Premier League champions Manchester City and Real Madrid, winners of La Liga and UEFA Champions League last season, are also keen on the Borussia Dortmund midfielder.
Plettenberg added that he had been told Manchester United had little chance of signing the 19-year-old England international midfielder.
Bellingham could cost up to €150m (£129m).

Could a transfer take place?
In our opinion, it will be difficult for Liverpool to sign Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund if the German club do not lower their asking price by 150m euros (£129m).
Liverpool are for sale now, and FSG are unlikely to be willing to spend so much money on just one player next summer if they still own the Premier League by then.
Both Real Madrid and Manchester City are spending a lot of money on players, and they could be willing to pay 150m euros (£129m) for the teenager.
