Josh Warrington will defend his featherweight title when he takes on Luis Alberto Lopez in his hometown of Leeds this weekend.
Warrington won the belt by beating Kiko Martinez earlier this year and now faces his first challenger in Lopez.

Warrington will defend his belt for the first time after claiming it in March
The 29-year-old Mexican is 26-2 while the Leeds Warrior is 31-1-1 going into this mandatory fight.
This will be Warrington’s first fight against a Mexican opponent since suffering his only career loss to Mauricio Lara last year.
He is expected to be joined in his ring by Leeds United winger Crysencio Summerville.
Warrington vs Lopez: Start date and time
This 12-round featherweight clash will take place on Saturday, December 10.
The fight will take place at the First Direct Arena in Leeds.
The undercard is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. and the main event ring walks are scheduled to begin at 10:35 p.m.

The fight will be streamed live on DAZN and it can be streamed live via the UK DAZN app.

Warrington vs Lopez: What was said?
Warrington: “I’m very excited to be back in Leeds.
“It’s going to be a tough fight, he shows up, he’s wild and erratic, I have a history with Mexican fighters, but I hope to put on a great performance in front of my home crowd.
“I’ve been saying this for so long about going to the United States and fighting in a unification fight. It’s the dream, but due to delays with jaw and hand injuries, I have to fight my mandatory now.
“I am fully focused on my work, on the early closure of the salon and on ending 2022 in style.”
