Football is much more interesting when Jose Mourinho is around, even when he’s not in the stadium leading his own team.
The Roma boss, who was last sent off against Atalanta, served a one-game ban on the touchline this weekend against Inter Milan – then chronicled his game on Instagram.
Unable to be on the touchline, the sniper Portuguese coach opted instead to watch the game on the team bus.
He did so with assistant coach Salvatore Foti leading his men inside the stadium.
Mourinho then posted several videos of himself before, during and after the match, which saw his side come from behind to claim a 2-1 victory.
Federico Dimarco had given Inter Milan the lead but Roma prevailed with strikes from Paulo Dybala and former Manchester United centre-back Chris Smalling.
And while they were doing business on the pitch, Mourinho was having fun off it.
First he uploaded videos of his frustration, then, clearly agitated from sitting on the bus, he said, “I’m going to die here.”
He then ventured out of the coach to annoy a colleague before returning to watch the rest of the game.
In Italian, as his team made an impressive comeback, he said: “Well done guys, great football.”
And once the game was over, he then posted a celebratory video with his friends before heading to the locker room and snapping a post-game photo.
Just another normal Jose Mourinho night – but it would have been more comfortable than a laundry basket.
