Celebrity trainer Jono Castano has accused social media trolls of ‘bullying’ his model girlfriend Simone Holtznagel following his dramatic thinness.
Simone, 29, sparked a backlash on Monday after sharing before and after photos on Instagram highlighting her weight loss, which she achieved under the tutelage of Jono and UFC trainer Tony Saad .
But some of her followers, including those recovering from eating disorders, said her transformation photos “trigger” people starving themselves to stay slim.

Jono, a high-profile PT whose clients include Rita Ora, Rebel Wilson, Michael Clarke and Candice Warner, helped his new girlfriend get in shape.
Defending his methods and Simone’s transformation, Jono posted a video on Instagram on Friday insisting the Australian Next Top Model star got her results through working out and healthy eating – not letting herself die of hunger.
“Simone did it in a healthy way,” he said. “She found love for food, she found consistency and balance for training.
“You can’t bully someone and say horrible things about their journey. You’re doing exactly what people don’t want in 2022, right? »

Jono added, “We don’t live in this world where people write nonsense.
‘People have feelings, Simone has feelings too, and everyone does the same [weight loss] journey.
“My clients have read it, who are on the weight loss program. It works. It’s a toxic world we live in, so if you’re writing reviews, think about what you’re writing because I ‘ve worked with people with eating disorders before, helped them.

Simone has suffered a backlash since her body transformation unveiled, but said on Tuesday she was unaware of what her critics had to say.
“People have commented saying it’s ‘trigger’ and ‘before and after’ doesn’t belong in 2022…” she told The Daily Telegraph.
“I thought what we weren’t doing in 2022 was commenting on other people’s bodies.
‘I thought I looked great on the left [before photo]. I think I look great on the right [after photo].
“One thing I will take away from this message is that you can’t please everyone. I’ve been taller and I’ve been shorter but I was happy in both stages of my life.
Simone and Jono went public with their relationship in May when they were spotted having dinner in Sydney’s eastern suburbs
Jono and Simone first met several years ago when she was one of the trainer’s most high-profile clients.
They initially kept their romance a secret before going public in May when they were seen kissing passionately at Mimi’s restaurant in Coogee.
The genetically blessed stars moved in after just three months of dating.
Simone says she still eats pasta four nights a week and never misses a glass of wine or a cocktail if she feels like it.
Jono thinks no one has the right to criticize Simone’s healthy lifestyle.
“Simone’s journey was her own journey, in a healthy and balanced way, there’s nothing wrong with that,” he said.
“Read between the lines of the caption, don’t attack anyone.”
