Dwayne Johnson had perfect advice for John Cena when the former landed one of the biggest roles of his acting career. When it comes to a wrestler turning into a successful actor, The Rock is the prime example. Not only did he establish his name in both industries, but he also paved the way for others.
While talking about Cena, the WWE Champion made headlines about his rumored appearance on WWE’s Clash At The Castle. Much to the disappointment of fans, the Peacemaker actor revealed he won’t be seen at The Clash.
Getting back to the point, recently, John Cena revealed the advice his comrade Dwayne Johnson gave him when he first entered Hollywood. During the Comic-Con panel in Wales, Cena said, “He’s one of the reasons I have a life outside of WWE. He gave me some of the best advice I have ever received.
“I remember I had an audition for a small role in a movie called Trainwreck. “There was a pretty thorough audition process and I was very nervous. Because I’ve never been through this before,” John Cena added. “I was able to ask him (Dwayne Johnson), ‘Hey man, do you have any advice?’ He said, ‘They asked you there for a reason man; just be yourself,’ The Suicide Squad actor added.
“He, in that single sentence, allowed me to calm down. Allowed me to be myself, when I really am an idiot. And [the movie Train Wreck] allowed me to do it on screen. N*ked. He’s the reason I’m here,” Cena continued. It’s good to see actors looking for other actors.
As for the job, Dwayne Johnson will next be seen in DC’s Black Adam. While John Cena is currently busy filming Fast X.
