Jodie Turner-Smith grabs attention in stunning green silk gown at Academy Museum gala

And this occasion was no different for actress Jodie Turner-Smith who grabbed attention in her eye-catching green silk dress with feather cuffs.

Appearing at the Academy Museum for the second annual Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles on Saturday night, the 36-year-old looked like a work of art as she posed for the cameras.

Put on a long emerald green dress, the plunging neckline showcased Jodie’s many assets and enviable framework.

Delicate golden floral ornaments adorned the base of the dress, arms, shoulders and waist.

Periwinkle blue feathers covered the cuffs of the dramatic trumpet sleeves, which she played with while having her photo taken.

Her face did all the talking as her glowing skin glowed, with a black and gold smoky eye and a glossy nude lip.

To accessorize, she wore a pair of chunky black diamond earrings that went perfectly with her makeup.

Her blue hair also matched the feathers of her dress.

Julia Roberts is set to receive the first-ever Icon Award at the Academy Museum Gala, which is being held this year for only the second time.

When it first took place last September, the star-studded event managed to raise $11 million for the new museum, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Other winners this year include Doctor Strange star Tilda Swinton, who receives the Visionary Award, which honors “an artist or scholar whose considerable work has advanced the art of filmmaking”.

Also in attendance were Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz who put on a beloved exhibit.

David and Victoria Beckham’s son looked smitten with his wife Nicola as he planted a kiss on her cheek at the star-studded event.

Olivia Wilde, Hailey Bieber and Julia Roberts led a cavalcade of more celebrities at the Academy Museum’s second annual gala.

Olivia, 38, fresh off the success of her latest achievement Don’t Worry Darling with boyfriend Harry Styles, went daringly braless under a sheer dress.

She made the heartbeat beat in a sparkling silver dress that perfectly hugged her impressive petite waist and was sheer enough to leave the imagination a little breathtaking.

George Clooney, who starred alongside Julia Roberts six times during their illustrious careers, and his stylish wife Amal Clooney were among the guests attending the star-studded event.

The Vantage Award celebrating “an artist or scholar who has helped contextualize and challenge mainstream narratives around film” goes to Steve McQueen, director of 12 Years A Slave and Shame.

Parasite producer Miky Lee, who is also Vice Chair of the Academy Museum’s Board of Trustees, will receive the Pillar Award in honor of her “exemplary leadership and support of the Academy Museum.”

Oscar-winning actresses Lupita Nyong’o and Halle Berry will host the gala along with TV impresario Ryan Murphy and hit horror producer Jason Blum.

Former TCM host Jacqueline Stewart, who was named head of the Academy Museum in July, praised Julia earlier this year when it was announced she would receive the award for the icon.

“Over her vast and renowned career, Julia has portrayed iconic characters and memorable roles. We are thrilled to honor her continued excellence in the industry and her contribution to the arts,” she said.

“We are deeply grateful to Julia, Miky, Steve and Tilda, at Rolex, as well as our co-chairs and the organizing committee for making our second annual gala an evening to remember.”

The Academy Museum opened its doors last year just four days after the first gala, sparking a storm of controversy over its political orientation.

Critics have criticized the museum for emphasizing the contributions of various minorities to the American film industry while ignoring the white Jewish immigrants from Central and Eastern Europe who played a major role in the creation of Hollywood.

The museum responded to the blowback by announcing in March that it will add a permanent exhibit highlighting the Jewish history of the film industry.
