ELLE launched her solo career in 2021 with one of the most controversial debuts of all time.
Despite an epic collaboration with Nicki Minaj for track No4 Boyz, Jesy Nelson has found herself swamped by accusations of cultural appropriation.
But after taking some time off, the former Little Mix singer is ready to give the music another shot.
The Sun can reveal that the Shout Out To My Ex singer will be filming the music video for her breakthrough comeback single next week.
Filming will take place over two days at a top-secret location, with Jesy locked away in rehearsals since returning from her beloved vacation in Jamaica.
A source said: “Jesy knows the single has to be a hit and gives it her all during rehearsals.
“She has full choreography in the video, so as soon as she got back from vacation, she went all out in the dance studio.
“Filming is locked and will take place over two days in a few days.”
After splitting from her label Polydor last summer, Jesy is believed to be willing to foot a lot of the bill herself.
Last week, The Sun revealed how Jesy grew closer to rapper Zion Foster after flying away for a romantic vacation in Jamaica.
The luxury break saw them check into the stunning 5-star Sandals resort in Montego Bay, in the north of the island.
The all-inclusive resort prides itself on romance and honeymoons, and even offers sprawling ocean-facing Love Nest Suites with balcony soaking tubs.
A source said: “It’s early days and there’s definitely no etiquette on things, but Jesy and Zion have grown closer over the past few weeks.
“They take it at their own pace and play everything by ear, but they really enjoy each other’s company. Jamaica was the perfect opportunity to really get to know each other away from where they might be recognized.
“Jesy is in a very good place right now and excited for what awaits her next year.”
