Jessica Rowe reveals why she loves aging as she celebrates her 52nd birthday

Jessica Rowe has shared a revealing message to fans on her 52nd birthday.

The popular journalist posted an Instagram Story on Thursday telling her followers that she loves getting older, “because it beats the alternative.”

Sharing a cute selfie in the post, the former Studio 10 star looked relaxed and happy as she cuddled up on the sofa with a cat and a hot drink.

Wearing large black-rimmed glasses and smiling broadly, Jessica can be seen dressed in a plaid winter pajama top and pink dressing gown.

‘I’m shameless myself,’ mental health advocate said before signing her message with ‘Crap housewife, Happy Birthday’.

Jess’ post was quickly inundated with supporters of The Bachelor’s Anna Heinrich and celebrity chef Will Stewart.

Jessica’s birthday message comes shortly after the star gave rare insight into her private life with Channel Nine’s newsreader Peter Overton.

The Sydney couple, who have been married for 18 years, shared a comedy skit, titled “home news”, on Instagram.

The exciting footage showed the couple performing mundane chores around the house.

The couple celebrated 18 years of marriage in January this year.

“Eighteen years ago today, I made the best decision of my life: to marry this darling man!” Jess captioned a message to her husband.

“And today we ‘celebrated’ by scrubbing the fridge for our move!” (Actually Petee did the laundry while I continued like a pork chop!)’

The couple share two daughters, Allegra 14 and Giselle, 12, and first met when Jess was interning at Channel Nine aged 19.
