Jesinta Franklin is finally set to reunite with her AFL star husband Lance ‘Buddy’ Franklin after almost seven weeks apart.
The model, 29, and her two young children saw their hopes of joining the Sydney Swans star dashed earlier this week, after it was revealed her team had moved to Victoria while she was stuck in quarantine of two weeks on the Gold Coast.
But on Thursday, Jesinta told the Herald Sun that she and her family were set to catch a flight to Melbourne, where the Swans are expected to stay all season after the Covid-19 outbreak in Queensland.

“It’s day in and day out and everything has changed so many times, but we hope to get out,” said Jesinta, revealing that their flight was due to depart Thursday night at the end of their 14-day quarantine.
“It’s been tough, but that’s just the reality of the world we live in right now. Not just me and what all the other partners of the Swans and GWS players have to do, but thousands of Australians, ”she added.
Jesinta spent her 40s with her daughter Tullulah, one year old, and son Rocky, four months old, intending to join the Swans and Giants in their Queensland pods.
But she, along with more than 100 other WAGs and family members, were disappointed after the Queensland Delta outbreak and news of a three-day lockdown over the weekend saw teams from Sydney uprooted for the third time.
Countdown: On July 25, Jesinta shared this photo of her daughter Tullulah on Instagram and captioned it: “Day three of hotel quarantine… 11 days closer to dad. We’re going to have some amazing stories. to tell Lulu and Rocky! I take so many pictures and videos to show them when they are older ‘
Jesinta went on to say that FaceTime had been her “saving grace” during quarantine, adding that Buddy missed some important milestones for their two children while she was away.
“The kids have grown so much, Tallulah said her first word here and Rocky rode for the first time, so we’re just trying to keep Bud involved as much as possible in these moments,” she said.
Jesinta admitted that she was glad they were in “late” quarantine, and said seeing Buddy again was the “light at the end of the tunnel.”
She had shared a series of quarantine updates inside the hotel, counting the days until she could reunite with her husband.

League general manager Gillon McLachlan said on Monday: “We are having good discussions with Victorian Health about their meeting with the clubs here.
“These conversations are going well. There may be obligations on this, but I’m positive.
The aim was to transport the quarantined group from Brisbane on a chartered flight to Victoria, so that they had no contact with the Queensland community.
Swans coach John Longmire added: “They are coming out of quarantine late Thursday afternoon, so we are relying on the powers that be to be able to come together.”
